Orders for Japanese shipbuilders plunge in November

The wild ride that Japan's shipbuilders have been having this year continued in November, with orders for vessels for export received by the member companies of the Japan Ship Exporters' Association (JSEA) last month plunging once again after October's impressive recovery, the latest JSEA statistics show.
Last month, the member firms won orders for just six vessels totalling 236,096 gross tons (GT), 75% lower than the November 2023 result and only one-third of the volume the yards had won in October of 687,400 GT in 16 vessels, as Mysteel Global reported. The JSEA comprises 21
