GACC: China's aluminum scrap imports pick up in Nov

China's imports of aluminum scrap totalled 138,320 tonnes in November, increasing by some 3.9% from October, though compared with the same month last year the volume was lower by a significant 21.45%, according to the latest data released by the country's General Administration of Customs (GACC).

During January-November, China's aluminum scrap imports totalled 1.6 million tonnes, higher by 1.7% on year, the GACC data showed. Last month, restrictions placed on the imports of aluminum scrap earlier by the GACC were eased as the Customs inspectors fell into line with newly updated national standards for aluminum scrap
