NBS: China's white goods output remains robust in 2024

China's production of four major home appliances - air-conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines and televisions all exhibited solid on-year increases in 2024, according to the latest data from the country's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

Notably, production of air conditioners climbed by 9.7% on year to reach 265.98 million units in 2024, logging both the highest volume and the strongest growth among the four major home appliances, the NBS data showed.
