NEA: China's installed power capacity to exceed 3.6 bln kW in 2025

China is set to raise its power generation capacity to more than 3.6 billion kilowatts (kW) by the end of 2025, according to new guidelines released by the National Energy Administration (NEA) on February 27.
This translates to a large 7.5% rise from the 3.35 billion kW recorded at the end of 2024, which itself represented a significant 14.6% jump from end-2023, the NEA data revealed.   Power capacity of renewables is expected to increase by more than 200 million kW this year, said the NEA.
