On April 27, the centralized commencement ceremony for Baofeng Energy's cathode, anode, and electrolyte plants, along with the fourth-phase olefin new materials project, was held at the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Base. The total investment in this batch of projects amounts to Yuan 31 billion, and upon full completion and operation, they are expected to achieve an annual industrial output value of Yuan 49 billion while providing nearly 10,000 jobs.
The Cathode, Anode, and Electrolyte Plant Project involves a total investment of Yuan 10.5 billion. It will accelerate the production capacity construction of 250,000 tonnes of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode materials, 150,000 tonnes of artificial graphite anode materials, 170,000 tonnes of electrolyte materials, and 100 GWh lithium battery and energy storage systems, as well as energy storage power stations. This initiative will establish a new energy storage materials production and full-system battery manufacturing industrial cluster based in Ningxia, radiating across the northwest and extending nationwide.
