On January 6th, the groundbreaking ceremony for Gotion High-tech's annual production capacity projects, 200,000 tonnes of cathode material and 10,000 tonnes of silicon-carbon anode material, was held in Lujiang, Anhui Province.
It is reported that the 200,000-tonne-per-year cathode material project adopts Gotion's fourth-generation lithium iron phosphate (LFP) production line technology. This facility is a fully digitalized and information-driven smart factory, designed to achieve an annual output of 200,000 tonnes of LFP cathode material upon completion and full operation, while also being upwardly compatible with next-generation LFP products.
The 20,000-tonne silicon-carbon anode material industrialization project utilizes nanoconfined structural design and multidimensional composite deposition/coating technologies to produce advanced silicon-carbon materials. Once operational, it is set to become a globally leading production base for high-performance silicon-carbon anode materials, fully covering the demands of current and next-generation battery production capacities.
