On June 19, 2025, the expanded electrowon nickel-cobalt production project utilizing sulfate systems, constructed by Zhejiang Kefei Technology Co., Ltd. for Zhejiang New Era Zhongneng Technology Co.,Ltd., commenced operations. Leveraging Zhejiang New Era Zhongneng Technology's existing electrowon cobalt production capabilities, Kefei provided comprehensive technological upgrades and engineering services.
Through process optimization, equipment modernization, and automation enhancements to existing production lines, the project achieved its goal of direct, efficient, and eco-friendly electrowon nickel-cobalt production via sulfate systems. With clear phased planning, New Era Zhongneng will reach full-scale annual production capacity of 10,000 metal tonnes of high-quality electrowon nickel-cobalt upon completion of both project phases.
