FLASH: Stricter weight tolerance may slow Mongolian coal clearance at Ganqimaodu

Chinese authorities have tightened the weight tolerance for coal trucks entering China via the Ganqimaodu border crossing from Mongolia, a move that could slow clearance efficiency, market sources said.
The allowable weight range has been narrowed from +1,000/-1,000 kg to +800/-1,000 kg. Cargoes outside the new limits will be returned in full, sources noted.   Only 809 coal trucks cleared China Customs at Ganqimaodu on August 11, down 23.5% from the previous day, Mysteel tracking data showed.   As of August 11,
