Chinese authorities have tightened the weight tolerance for coal trucks entering China via the Ganqimaodu border crossing from Mongolia, a move that could slow clearance efficiency, market sources said.

The allowable weight range has been narrowed from +1,000/-1,000 kg to +800/-1,000 kg. Cargoes outside the new limits will be returned in full, sources noted.
