On August 15, 20 tonnes of recycled black mass for lithium-ion batteries, imported by CNREC International (a subsidiary of China Resources and Environment Group), arrived at Ningbo Port and successfully cleared customs. This marks China's first imported batch of recycled black mass since the implementation of the Announcement on Regulating the Import of Recycled Black Mass for Lithium-Ion Batteries and Steel Raw Materials, representing a key step forward in promoting circular resource utilization.
To ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, CNREC International conducted pre-shipment inspections of critical indicators in the black mass, including nickel, cobalt, lithium, phosphorus, and water-soluble fluorine, strictly adhering to regulatory requirements.
