China Shenhua's coal output up 6.5% YoY in July, but sales down 5.5%

China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd., the country's largest listed coal miner, produced 29.3 million tonnes of commercial coal in July, up 6.5% on year and 6.2% on month, the company said in its latest monthly operations report.

Coal sales meanwhile reached 37.8 million tonnes in July, down 5.5% on year but up slightly by 0.8% on month. The miner's sales include coal both from its own pits and from third-party producers. For the first seven months of 2025, output came to 194.7 million tonnes, down 0.5% from
