China Machinery Industry Fifth Construction Corp Inc. (CMIC) has successfully completed the shipment of the first batch of chemical tanks for the Indonesia KNI project, which aims to produce 120,000 tonnes of nickel-cobalt hydroxide per year. The initial shipment, weighing 385 tonnes, has been transported to the port, marking the official start of delivery.
The project involves the manufacturing of equipment including 9 stainless steel split tanks, 8 carbon steel split tanks, 14 integrated stainless steel tanks, as well as chutes, with a total weight of approximately 6,000 tonnes. Despite challenges such as a tight delivery schedule and complex processing requirements, the company optimized production processes and adopted modular manufacturing methods to ensure on-time shipment.
This project will further support the expansion of raw material production for new energy power batteries in Indonesia, contribute to building a complete industrial chain, and promote local economic and social development.
