According to the latest news on September 18, Li Auto and CATL have signed a comprehensive five-year strategic cooperation agreement and held an awarding ceremony. The two parties will deepen collaboration in areas including battery safety and ultra-fast charging technology, jointly expand domestic and international operations, and promote innovation in battery technology as well as global deployment.
As a long-term partner, CATL will supply Li Auto's full vehicle lineup with high-performance, high-safety, and high-quality power battery systems, including but not limited to ternary lithium batteries, M3P batteries, lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, and sodium-ion batteries. These offerings will provide essential momentum for Li Auto's premium intelligent electric vehicle experience.
To date, Li Auto vehicles equipped with CATL batteries have achieved cumulative deliveries exceeding 1 million units, with zero thermal runaway incidents ever caused by the batteries themselves. CATL continues to ensure the safety of its power batteries through innovative technology and stringent safety standards.
The signing of this agreement marks a further deepening of the collaboration between the two companies. Moving forward, Li Auto and CATL will work together to deliver safer, more efficient, and smarter mobility experiences for users.
