GACC: China's steel exports rise 9.2% YoY in Jan-Sept

China’s steel exports rose 9.2% on year to 87.96 million tonnes during the first nine months of 2025, according to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs (GACC) on October 13.

For September alone, the country's steel exports reached 10.47 million tonnes, up 10% from August and 3.1% higher than September 2024, Mysteel Global calculated based on the GACC data. The high September shipments largely reflected orders signed around July, the final month of the 90-day China-US tariff truce following the Joint Statement on the China-U.S. Economic and Trade
