Canada keeps tariffs on rebar from China, South Korea and Turkiye

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) has decided to maintain anti-dumping (AD) duties on rebar imports from China, South Korea and Turkiye for another five years following a second sunset review. The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will also continue to impose countervailing duties (CVD) on Chinese rebar.

The current AD rates stand at 26.6% for China, 25.1% for South Korea, and 6.5% for Turkiye. The CVD rate applied to Chinese rebar is 6.1%. The subject products are hot-rolled deformed steel concrete reinforcing bar in straight lengths or coils, commonly known as rebar, in various diameters up to
