India's coal output drops 2.4% MoM in September

India's production of all types of coal totalled 68.18 million tonnes in September, down 2.4% on month and 1.1% on year, according to the latest data from the country's Ministry of Coal. Coking coal output accounted for 4.8% of the total at 3.24 million tonnes, the data showed.

The overall on-month decline in the country's September coal output was mainly attributed to lower production at its two largest state-owned mining companies.
