WSA: Global crude steel output dips 1.6% YoY in Sept

Global crude steel production among the 70 countries surveyed by the World Steel Association (WSA) declined by 1.6% on year in September to sit at 141.8 million tonnes, offsetting the 0.3% rise recorded in August, according to the WSA's latest release issued on October 23.
Last month's result took cumulative output during January-September to 1.37 billion tonnes, also lower by 1.6% compared with the first nine months of last year, according to the WSA data.   During the nine months China, the world's largest steelmaker, produced 746.3 million tonnes, lower by 2.9% on-year.
