Jiayuan Technology announced on November 5 that it signed a Framework Agreement with CATL on November 4. Under the agreement, CATL has designated Jiayuan Technology as a preferred supplier for copper foil and new-type battery anode current collector materials (including copper foil for solid-state batteries).
The agreement further specifies that from 2026 to 2028, CATL plans to purchase battery anode current collector materials from Jiayuan Technology. Jiayuan Technology must prioritize meeting CATL's demand based on its annual production capacity of no less than 157,000 tonnes, 204,000 tonnes, and 265,000 tonnes respectively, culminating in a total supply of up to 626,000 tonnes over the three years.
Unlike previous collaborations, this agreement covers the entire industrial chain, from supply and R&D to production. Both parties will engage in comprehensive collaboration in the field of new-type battery anode current collector materials, with a particular focus on cutting-edge technologies such as copper foil for solid-state batteries.
