On October 30th local time, Brazil's Coremas Solar Project, the first new energy investment project of China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC) in South America, was successfully completed with the transfer of ownership. CEEC's overseas investment arm has now become the controlling shareholder of the project and will be fully responsible for its operation and management. This milestone signifies a crucial step for CEEC in the field of new energy investment in South America and injects new momentum into China-Brazil collaboration in green energy.
The Coremas PV Project is located in the state of Paraíba in northeastern Brazil. With a total installed capacity of approximately 93 megawatts, it is expected to generate an average of 167 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, enough to meet the daily electricity needs of more than 80,000 households. This clean energy output is equivalent to saving about 20,500 tonnes of standard coal each year.
