On March 17, Jiangsu Zenergy Battery Technologies Group's 50 GWh next-generation high-capacity long-duration energy storage intelligent manufacturing project was officially signed and established in Suzhou City. According to the announcement, the project will be located in Changshu High-tech Zone, Suzhou City, representing a total investment of Yuan 10 billion. The facility will primarily produce a new generation of high-capacity products designed for long-duration energy storage applications.
The products are expected to meet current market demands across various energy storage scenarios, including long-duration energy storage, data centers, and decentralized power supply models. They will also serve multiple sectors such as electric vehicles, electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOL), humanoid robots, and electric vessels.
This 50 GWh intelligent flexible manufacturing base project for long-duration energy storage lithium-ion batteries will primarily focus on producing 588 Ah large-capacity battery cells tailored for long-duration energy storage. These cells are designed to meet storage duration requirements of 2 to 8 hours and are compatible with a new generation of even larger-capacity long-duration energy storage cells, enabling storage durations of 4 to 12 hours.
