Mongolia's ETT to operationalize Borteeg coal block in 2026

Mongolian state-owned coal giant Erdenes Tavantolgoi JSC (ETT) is preparing to bring the Borteeg coal block, part of the massive Tavan Tolgoi deposit in Omnogovi Province into economic circulation in 2026 and select foreign investors for the mining development via an open tender, Mongolian media the UB Post reported on December 5, citing project updates made by ETT's acting CEO N.Tserensambuu during a press briefing.
