On December 15, Malaysian automotive parts manufacturer EPMB announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary has signed an agreement with XPeng Motors on December 12. The partnership entails collaborative research and development, manufacturing, production, and assembly of specific vehicle projects in Malaysia.
Under the agreement, the subsidiary will assemble XPeng's G6 model and X9 model (including the extended-range electric vehicle version of the X9). Production of the G6 model is scheduled to commence by March 31, 2026, while the X9 model is set to begin production by May 25, 2026.
