On December 20, according to information from Pylon Technologies, the company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the second-phase project of its 10 GWh lithium battery R&D and manufacturing base in Feixi County, Hefei City, Anhui Province. The project aims to further expand advanced production capacity to meet the continuously growing global demand for energy storage.
At the ceremony, Zhou Xinxin, General Manager of Pylon Technologies' Manufacturing Center, stated that the Hefei base is a critical component of the company's global manufacturing layout. Since its launch, the first-phase project has established a production team of over 1,000 employees, with capacity steadily increasing. This not only validates the company's product technology and manufacturing capabilities but also provides valuable experience for seizing opportunities in the global energy transition.
Zhou Xinxin emphasized that the second-phase project represents a comprehensive upgrade based on the success of the first phase, aimed at expanding advanced production capacity, strengthening the industrial layout, and better meeting market demand. Additionally, while fully advancing the second-phase construction, a new 2 GWh energy storage battery and integration project has been officially signed, outlining a clear blueprint for the future third-phase development. In detail, on November 7, Pylon Technologies invested Yuan 1 billion in Feixi County, Hefei, Anhui, to launch a 2 GWh energy storage battery and system integration project, and it's expected to reach its operational status by March 2028.
