China Coal Energy to add 6.4 mln t/y of coal capacity by end-2026 or 2027

China Coal Energy Co., Ltd., a major listed state-owned coal producer, expects to add 6.4 million tonnes/year of coal production capacity, along with 900,000 tonnes/year of coal chemical capacity, by the end of 2026 or in 2027, the company said at an investor presentation on December 17.

The projection is based on the current rate of construction on several projects though more detailed information will be disclosed in the company's 2025 annual report, typically released in late March, Mysteel Global understands.
