Indonesia sets most thermal coal HBA prices higher for H2 January

Indonesia's Harga Batubara Acuan (HBA) thermal coal reference price and its derivatives, issued by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), have been mostly lifted for the second half of January, Mysteel Global has learned.

Specifically, the ESDM set the HBA for 6,322 kcal/kg GAR coal (TM 12.26%, Sulfur 0.66%, Ash 7.94%) – a high-CV grade – at $104.03/tonne for this month's last two weeks, up 0.7% from the $103.3/t the ministry had decided for the grade for the first half of this month,
