China's MTBE exports surged 198.90% YoY to 737.50 kilo tonnes in December 2025, with annual exports doubling to 4,989.40 kilo tonnes. Exports are projected to drop to around 420 kilo tonnes in January 2026 as the market normalizes after the year-end surge.

In December 2025, China's MTBE exports reached 737.50 kilo tonnes, up 17.56% month-on-month (MoM) and surging 198.90% year-on-year (YoY).
