Brazil to impose AD duties on Chinese, Indian pre-painted steel

Brazil has approved the imposition of anti-dumping (AD) duties on pre-painted steel imported from China and India for five years, according to meeting minutes released by Brazilian Executive Management Committee of the Foreign Trade Chamber (Gecex/Camex) on January 28. The specific AD rates were not disclosed however.

In addition, the committee decided to raise import tariffs on nine categories of steel products from their current levels to 25% for a period of 12 months, according to the release.
