Brazil finds Chinese galvanized imports were dumped

Brazil has added the most common grades of hot-dipped and electro-galvanized steel to the list of imported Chinese steel items it is penalizing with anti-dumping duties, according to an announcement from the Trade Remedies and Investigation Bureau under China's Ministry of Commerce on February 26.

Chinese Customs statistics show that during last year, exports of 'metal coated sheet and strip' – most of which were galvanized – accounted for some 40% of China's total steel exports to Brazil so the ADs are certain to impact future shipments, Mysteel Global notes. According to the investigation bureau's
