CSSC: China's 2025 crude stainless steel output tops 40 mln t

China's crude stainless steel output continued climbing during 2025 and exceeded 40 million tonnes to stand at 40.87 million tonnes, rising for the third consecutive year by 1.43 million tonnes or 3.6% on year, according to the latest data released by the Stainless Steel Council of China Iron and Steel Association (CSSC).

Last year, production of all series of crude stainless steel increased by varying degrees compared with the previous year, with that of 400-series posting the sharpest on-year growth in percentage terms of 5.6%, while that of 300-series climbed by 4.2% on year, the association's statistics showed.
