Indonesia's coal exports drop 7% YoY in 2025

Indonesia's exports of coal for all uses by totalled about 524 million tonnes during 2025, down 7.2% from the previous year, according to the latest data released by Statistics Indonesia (BPS). This marked the first annual decline in its coal exports since 2020, when the market was disrupted by COVID-19, Mysteel Global notes.
