Australia's major iron ore ports resume operations as cyclone threat recedes

Imported Iron Ore Global Shipment
All ports in Western Australia operated by Pilbara Ports Authority (PPA) had reopened as of February 9, after the threat from Tropical Cyclone Mitchell dissipated, according to PPA's latest notice release.
These ports, including those of Port Hedland, Ashburton, Cape Preston West, Dampier, and Varanus Island, were cleared last Friday following a warning from Australian weather forecasters that a tropical low off Western Australia's coast could develop into a tropical cyclone by Saturday morning, PPA said in an earlier alert.   By
