Yancoal Australia achieves record output but profit slumps in 2025

Yancoal Australia, one of the country's largest independent coal producers and 60%-owned by Chinese Yankuang Energy Group, reported achieving record coal output during its last business year, although earnings declined sharply amid weaker global coal prices.
According to its FY2025 Financial and Production Results for the year ended last December and released on February 25, the company produced 38.6 million tonnes of attributable saleable coal in 2025, near the upper end of its guidance range of 35-39 million tonnes.   On a 100% ownership basis, saleable coal
