Mongolian Mining Corp's washed coking coal sales surge 60% YoY in Q1

Mongolian Mining Corporation (MMC), the country's largest producer and exporter of washed coking coal, reported strong sales growth in this year's first quarter, driven by robust demand from neighboring China.

The company sold 2.56 million tonnes of washed coking coal in Q1, surging 60% year on year, although the total was slightly down by 1% from the previous quarter ended December 31, according to its quarterly report released on April 16. Production, however, grew at a more moderate pace. Washed
