Worldstainless: Global crude stainless output rises 2% YoY in 2025

Total production of crude stainless steel worldwide continued to grow in 2025 to reach 64.2 million tonnes, making for an on-year rise of 2.1%, according to new data released by Brussels-based worldstainless.

Among the total, crude stainless steel production of the European Union declined slightly by 1.9% on year to 5.66 million tonnes last year, while the combined output of Brazil, Russia, South Africa, Ukraine and United Kingdom dropped by 11.3% on year to 1.09 million tonnes, according to the release. However,
