Recently, the signing ceremony for the PT Tataran Media Sarana (TMS) nickel mining project in Indonesia was held in Chengdu. Panshi Resources Co., Ltd., the project's controlling shareholder, officially signed a cooperation agreement with PowerChina. The signing marks a new phase in the collaboration between the two parties in the development of nickel resources in Indonesia and adds another achievement to energy and mineral cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
The TMS nickel mining project is located in Kabupaten Konawe Utara, Sulawesi Tenggara, Indonesia. The mining concession area covers approximately 1,597 hectares and enjoys a favorable location, situated only about 5 kilometers in a straight line from the KKU nickel project currently under construction.
According to the introduction, the mine has proven reserves exceeding 50 million metric tons and resources surpassing 100 million tonnes, indicating excellent resource endowment and development potential. As Indonesia continues to advance its mineral downstreaming strategy, the strategic value of high-quality nickel resources in the global new energy and stainless steel industry chains is becoming increasingly prominent.
