On March 5, the SDIC Yunnan New Energy Co., Ltd.'s Xundian Bailongtan 495MW photovoltaic project was successfully connected to the grid. Located in Xundian County, Kunming City, the project covers a planned area of approximately 8,837 mu (about 1455.8 acres) and has a planned AC installed capacity of 495MWp. It is a key provincial-level new energy project in Yunnan.
Upon completion, the project is expected to generate approximately 694 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, with an average annual utilization hours of about 1,344. It is projected to save approximately 280,000 tonnes of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 700,000 tonnes each year.
