On March 20, the Guangdong Welion Solid-State Battery Industrial Park and Solid-State Battery Greater Bay Area Research Institute project was signed in Huadu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. The project is expected to involve an investment of Yuan 2 billion, and achieve an annual output value of Yuan 2.4 billion.
Welion New Energy has already commercialized a range of products, including 360 Wh/kg power battery cells, 320 Wh/kg low-altitude economy battery cells, and 280 Ah and 314 Ah energy storage battery cells. These products are widely used in automotive, industrial drones, energy storage power stations, communication base stations, and other sectors, positioning Weilan as one of the companies with the most extensive commercial applications in the industry.
Currently, Weilan New Energy has a production capacity of 5.6 GWh for semi-solid-state batteries, which is sufficient to meet current market order demand. To seize opportunities in the industry's development, the company is actively preparing for further capacity expansion, with a focus on establishing production bases in Beijing, Guangdong, and Huzhou.
