NEA: Renewables lift China's installed power capacity 16% YoY by end-Feb

China's total installed power generation capacity reached 3.95 billion kW by the end of February, up 15.9% year on year, driven primarily by the rapid expansion in renewable energy, according to data released by the National Energy Administration (NEA) on March 25.

Among all power sources, solar capacity recorded the fastest growth, surging 33.2% on year to 1.23 billion kW, followed by wind power, which rose 22.8% to 650.7 million kW.
