On March 26, Yinchuan Economic and Technological Development Zone in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, welcomed a milestone for newly established enterprise Ningxia Hengchuang Nano Technology Co., Ltd., as it commenced construction on a production base for lithium manganese iron phosphate (LMFP) cathode materials with an annual capacity of 130,000 tonnes.
With a total investment of Yuan 4.8 billion, the project will establish core competitive advantages through nearly 100 core patents related to LMFP and a proprietary "solid-liquid two-phase method" process. The product offers high energy density (15%–20% higher than LFP), high safety, low cost per watt-hour, and excellent low-temperature performance, making it widely applicable in electric vehicles, commercial vehicles, two-wheeled EVs, and energy storage systems.
The project in Yinchuan will be implemented in two phases. The first phase focuses on building a production line for power battery cathode materials with an annual capacity of 30,000 tonnes, involving a total investment of nearly Yuan 1 billion. According to the plan, the project is expected to be completed by the end of this year, with an estimated annual output value of no less than Yuan 1 billion upon reaching full capacity, and will provide over 100 high-quality jobs.
