NBS: China's Mar manufacturing PMI recovers to 50.4

China's Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for the manufacturing sector returned to the expansion zone in March to stand at 50.4, rising by 1.4 points on month after the decline over the prior two months, according to the latest data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Tuesday morning.

The recovery was mainly due to the fact that in March, many domestic manufacturing enterprises accelerated the pace of resumption after the Chinese New Year holiday, and market activity also picked up, according to Huo Lihui, chief statistician at the NBS service industry survey center.
