On March 30, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) released a notice further implementing the Anti-Unfair Competition Law of the People's Republic of China, outlining a comprehensive initiative to curb involution-style competition.

The revised Anti-Unfair Competition Law was approved by the 16th session of the 14th National People's Congress Standing Committee on June 27 2025, and came into effect on October 15 2025.
