FLASH: China's Daqin railway kicks off 30-day spring maintenance

China's key coal transport artery Datong-Qinhuangdao (Daqin) railway began its annual spring maintenance on April 1 to ensure a smooth energy supply during the upcoming peak demand period in summer, Mysteel Global has learned.

The maintenance is scheduled to last for 30 days, with the entire line suspended for three hours every day from 09:00 to 12:00. During the maintenance, the railway is expected to maintain a transport capacity of around 1 million tonnes per day. Stretching 653 km from Datong, a coal mining
