On April 23, 2026, Eramet released its first-quarter 2026 financial results, reporting adjusted revenue of 840 million Euros, a year-on-year increase of 13%, primarily driven by higher sales volumes and prices. Adjusted revenue from the nickel business stood at 163 million Euros, up 43% year-on-year.
External sales from the Weda Bay nickel mine in Indonesia reached 8.3 million wet tonnes, a year-on-year increase of 54%. The average LME nickel price was US $17,362/tonne, up 12% year-on-year. The company stated that its initial RKAB quota for 2026 was 12 million wet tonnes (with an external sales cap of 9 million wet tonnes). The full-year quota was expected to be exhausted by mid-May, after which the mine would enter a care and maintenance status, while an application for a quota upward revision was underway.
