NBS: China's Jan-Apr pig iron output drops 3% YoY

China's pig iron production in January-April totalled 282.3 million tonnes, falling 3.1% compared with the same period last year, according to the latest data released by the country's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday morning.

The 3.1% drop remained smaller than the 4.1% on-year decline recorded in the country's crude steel production during the same period last year, Mysteel Global noted.
