CSSC: China's April crude stainless steel output rises slightly on month

China's crude stainless steel output increased slightly in April, with the total tonnage edging up 1.3% from March to reach 3.72 million tonnes, according to the latest data released by the Stainless Steel Council of China Iron and Steel Association (CSSC) on May 26.

Among the total, production of 200- and 300-series crude stainless steel gained by 0.8% and 6.5% respectively from the previous month, offsetting a marked on-month drop of 10.9% in the output of 400-series stainless, the release showed.
