According to latest news on May 27 (North America local time), LG Energy Solution announced that it has signed an energy storage system (ESS) battery supply contract with DTE Energy, Michigan's largest integrated energy company. The contract totals 6 GWh, with a value of $1.6 billion (approximately Yuan 10.848 billion), and a supply period of about two years.
DTE Energy already supplies electricity to approximately 2.3 million households in southeastern Michigan and is actively advancing grid modernization. The ESS batteries from this collaboration will be used in eight grid infrastructure projects within Michigan, explicitly including support for Oracle's AI data center (AIDC) currently under construction.
