On May 30, the Yongy Group Guangzhou Development Zone New Energy Intelligent Manufacturing Base broke ground, just two months after the project was signed.
The project is located in China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, with a total investment of approximately Yuan 12 billion. It covers an area of about 366,000 square meters, with a planned total production capacity of 24 GWh. The project consists of three major sub-projects, including consumer batteries, power batteries, and energy storage products. Upon reaching full capacity, the annual output value is expected to exceed Yuan 13 billion, and in the long term, it is expected to help form a 100-billion-yuan-level new energy industry cluster.
Specifically, the consumer battery sub-project covers emerging cutting-edge applications such as high-end consumer electronics, the low-altitude economy, and robotics. The power battery sub-project focuses on niche segments including low-speed vehicles, mining trucks, starting power supplies, and specialty batteries. The energy storage products sub-project provides full-scenario energy storage solutions for residential, commercial and industrial, and power generation and grid-side applications.
