On June 5, GEM announced that it has signed a cooperation agreement with Eastern Institute of Technology, Ningbo (EIT) regarding the joint establishment of a Solid-State Battery Cathode Material Joint Laboratory and the joint development of key industrial technologies for solid-state lithium battery cathode materials. The two parties agreed to jointly establish the Solid-State Battery Cathode Material Joint Laboratory, leveraging the innovation team led by Academician Sun Xueliang and the cutting-edge technology research laboratories at EIT, as well as the engineering talent and industrial innovation technology team and the industrial innovation technology platform of GEM. The laboratory will focus on original innovation and industrial implementation of key technologies across the entire solid-state battery chain, with a planned investment of Yuan 30 million over five years.
