GACC: China unwrought copper, semis imports fall 7% in Jan-May

China's imports of unwrought copper and semi-finished copper products over the January-May period fell 7% year-on-year to 2.01 million tonnes, new data released by the General Administration of Customs (GACC) show.

The decline was partly attributable to persistently high international copper prices, a factor that had significantly dampened Chinese buyers' purchasing appetite, Mysteel Global notes.
