GACC: China's unwrought copper, semis imports plunge MoM in August

China's market for imported copper diverged markedly in August, as arrivals of unwrought copper and semi-finished products fell sharply while concentrate imports climbed to a five-month high, data from China's General Administration of Customs (GACC) published Tuesday show.

Imports of unwrought copper and semi-finished copper products – encompassing cathodes, rods, tubes, sheets and foil – declined 10.1% month on month to 382,000 tonnes in August, down from 425,000 tonnes in July, according to CACC.
