GACC: China's copper concentrate imports edge up 5% YoY in Jan-Feb

China's imports of copper ore and concentrates saw a moderate year-on-year increase in the first two months of 2026, driven by robust smelting activity and strategic efforts to diversify supply sources amid global resource competition.
Data from the General Administration of Customs (GACC) released on Tuesday showed that imports totaled 4.93 million tonnes over the January-February period, up 4.9% from the same period last year. February imports stood at 2.31 million tonnes.   The GACC combines its foreign trade data for January-February in its March releases
